I know it's the tests period, so not many people actually come here. But anyway, just some encouragement for my beloved patrolmates. :)

Things get stressful at times, you really wanna stop and let go, but you know that you can't. And you have to keep going.
It's hard sometimes, but always keep trying. Just keep going. Don't look back, and just keep trying.
Especially to the Sec 4s, O Level year, jiayou alright? You can do this! You will make it through the rain, and after the rain has cleared, a beautiful rainbow will form. :) Orchid will be behind you forever! <3

Hi Orchid,

I'm so bored at home! This week was alright for me though, cos I went to school for Open House Prep.

I'm here to post pictures! Pictures of the Urban Hike that Sec 1s and 2s went, and the Perak trip photos. :)

The above two photos were part of a task that we had to do. No one looked unglam (no one right?) so I thought I'd just post it here. :) Hope the Sec 1s don't mind!

Hey Orchid,

This blog has been kinda dead, so I'm trying to revive it here. :)

Perak trip was just over, and it was extremely fun, as of what I typed in the tagboard. Oh, and it's the COALS camp now, so jiayou to Nithya (and Zhi Hui) who are there now! Today's their second day, haha, kinda late to say this now. xD

Alright, hmmhmm, when are we having our patrol gathering? Charlotte was thinking whether we wanted it to be a Christmas party sort of thing or just a normal one. Hmmhmm. Hopefully most of us will be able to make it. :)

Ohh, I forgot to state last week, that we should

congratulate Charlotte

for doing Cedar Guides and Orchid patrol proud by winning 3rd for the 4x100m Inter Unit Relay!
Of course, together with the other members, Deseree, Phoebe and Melinda. :)

Today marks the start of our one-week September break. Notice that I'm trying not to say 'holidays'? Hahaha. Cos I know that for all of us, this week is just a short break. We'll mostly be studying, yeah. What else can we do? The reality is right in front of us, the exam timetable, the textbooks, assessment books etc. I do feel intimidated by them sometimes. Hahaha.

Nevertheless, hope everyone enjoys this one-week break, and come out of it feeling more prepared than ever!

Hello Orchid!

I've changed the blogskin! I actually edited a few things to this blogskin, as compared to the original one found on blogskin.

I changed the picture! hahaha. I changed it to the nicenice Orchid flower! Lol.

Ok, yesterday's Patrol Day was extremely fun! :D Whee, I still can't get over yesterday's excitement. Hahaha.

This is really a good patrol bonding. I really got to know you guys (esp. Sec 3s) better. :)

Kaushi: Erm, I didn't know you could scream? (no offence)

Charlotte: You share many secrets with Kaushi. xD

Zhi Hui: You like long bus rides! (Actually I like also, but not to the extent of 2 hours! :X)

Yay. Those were the things that I learnt about you guys yesterday! We should totally organise another outing in the Nov/Dec holidays! And follow according to Zhi Hui's plan, whom she told me and Nithya ytd. :D

It's a pity the Sec 1s couldn't go ytd, cos I was looking forward to get to know them better. It's like, coming to their 6th month of being an Orchidian and we haven't really got the chance to know them better.

since I am incharge for the morning announcements script, well here it is:

Good morning Mrs. Ou yang, Mdm haslinda, Mrs lee, Ms Sim, teachers and my fellow cedarians. As part of our CIP project, Orchid patrol from Cedar Girl Guides will be car washing the teachers’ cars this and next term. A form will be dropped on every teacher’s mail tray with the list of all the dates on which the car wash will be held. The dates fall on either Wednesday or Friday. Please take a look at it and interested teachers please fill up the form and give it to any girl guide in Orchid Patrol. The names of those involved are in the forms.

Our first car wash session will be on 27th May 2009. We will do a thorough cleaning of the car including the tires. However, please take note that the interior of the car would not be cleaned. The cost for each car wash is $-. The profit will then be used as the school building fund. Therefore, we encourage all teachers to please send your car for ORCHID’S CAR WASH! :D

ORCHID ATTENTION! aft a long 2h massive convo on msn, orchidians awesomest of the awesomest charlotte, kaushi, rachel, celest and nithia (who left early) have decided on our long undone car washing for cip.

so here are the updates, make sure you are clear of them, esp if you didnt join our convo:

sec1s orchidians awesomest of the awesomest will be joining us on this cip
sec3s will make it for it too, to supervise and help as much as possible(: because this cip is the day before our midyears.
cip date: first session - 27 May , 2.30 to 4 or 5, depending on the business we have(:

1 ) Charlotte and rachel awesomest of the awesomest will be going up to speak to the school during morning announcements
2) Posters will be plastered all over the school, explaining that 27 is the confirmed date, no changes and no more confusions
3) flyers will be re-updated to explain that 27 may is confirmed

Nithia - to update on the flyers, change the date to 27may. ensure that the poster contains info telling them that they are to park their car near the canteen at the vending machines there, for the safety of us, and also ensure that they are available in the staffroom or smth so that we can easily contact them when we need them. dear sec 4s,
thank you for everything you have done for orchid. Its really hard to write our feelings down as there is so much to say!

Firsly, haha...thanks for emphasising that orchid will NOT be violent. We'll be sure to pass that tradition on that we're not violent. A guide is kind to all living things and yes, we are living stuff too!

Secondly, the games we play during patrol corner is hilarious! But what strck me most is that however lame the game might be, we still continued to play it and make the best out of it. That made our patrol corners the best.

Now that we know that you wont be joining orchid patrol corners any longer, i'm regretting the days when we just kept quiet or talked among the levels. There used to be awkward silences and we've really wasted those precious times. :(

Like the guides blog said - yes, you do have to move on and farewell is inevitable.

you have been the best seniors we could ask for. and i feel that we've gotten only closer and stronger after farewell. this is not the end. Once a orchidian, always an orchidian. O-promise. (:

All in All, to sec4 orchidians, thank you for your milkbottles and other gifts you've given us. wad matters most is not how much we teared, but the memories and bonds we've created. the ties forged and the heartfelt moments. sec4s, once you all leave, guides sessions will never be the same without you all again, but we orchidians promise not to disappoint you, and to always carry the guiding light with us. dont worry abt orchid or guides, but have faith in us that we'll do a great job, thank you for your guidiance and care for us your juniors. all 3 of you have impacted us in some way, and will be remembered greatly. we'll miss you!

on a lighter note, charlotte here the orchidian awesomest of the awesomest will be organising a patrol outing prob after eyes and olevels with fabulous plans installed, so there's more to look forward to as a patrol still!
